Street Smarts

Since Ted is proudly uneducated, he places high value on "street smarts", a form of smarts which he boasts about regularly...

Me: "Stew is the smartest one here."
Ted: "It depends on the subject."
Me: "No, I'm saying overall...all subjects."
Ted: "Well, he doesn't know much about racing."
Me: "What he lacks in racing knowledge, he makes up for in other subjects."
Ted: "Well, he doesn't have any street smarts.  He's never been in the city."



For the record, Stew grew up in the city.  Also, what Ted calls street smarts is commonly known as common sense, which Stew has an abundance of.
